Context

Gold and silver buyers, jewelers and traders check prices several times a day. They need the current rate in their local currency and unit, quickly, on any device.

The challenge

Price data arrives continuously from upstream feeds, but most existing price sites were slow, cluttered with ads and hard to read on mobile. The platform needed to stay accurate to the minute, load instantly, and rank for competitive price-related search terms.

Design

A calm, high-contrast interface puts the current price first, with change indicators, unit and currency switchers, and interactive historical charts. Color is reserved for up and down movement so the signal is never lost in decoration.
